Buena jumps Sugababes ship

As we reported here, Sugababes founding member Mutya Buena has indeed left the band.
The 20-year-old singer (pictured), a part of the band for seven years if certain reports are to be believed (since she was 13... what?), felt that she was unable to commit to the group for another 12 months.
Sugababes have so far achieved four number one singles, and Buena had her first child in March of 2005. She'll be replaced by a new member - not the first time the group has seen a founder member replaced - within the next 24 hours. Place your bets, now.

Overload was released when she was 15, and they were kinda, groomed for stardom for a coupla years before that.
Probably one of the better pop groups out there I reckon. Bit of a shame.

It wouldn't suprise me if mutya left cos she hates the new material, it fucking blows. Especially compared to some of the stuff they recorded but didn't use for this album that I heard...they made a choice between a slightly indie/dance direction and embarrassing-lyriced dross, and the latter won, sadly.
I don't fucking blame her for quitting, I'm not sure there's enough money in the world to make me promote 'ugly' on national telly
