Marilyn Manson tells his fans to fuck off with his sixth lp. Maybe. Possibly. Not.
The intelligent counter-culture icon, God of Fuck and Bowie fan Marilyn Manson is trickling out details about his sixth studio album ‘The Golden Age Of Grotesque’ due for release sometime next year. He has revealed that one of the tracks on the album will be lovingly titled 'The Fuck You Song'. There's also a track called ‘Use You Fist Not Your Mouth’. But don't bother searching for mp3's as the studio work is still being done by Mazza and co-producer/bassist Tim Skold.
Marilyn, who recently opened his own art gallery, has dropped hints about the album in his online journal "I have just returned from the studio and we have finished mixing the first track. I'm not going to reveal the name, but it is an onomatopoeia and it actually means the same thing in every language. However, it has a specific slang definition that refers to a sexual maneuver I found interesting. Soon... " and "More songs. More chaos. More is more. Not long now. Don't let your musical celluloid get cellulite. Let's sing our voix de ville."
He also told MTV "I just want things to be more decadent. I want them to be more degenerate. I want people to excel in vulgarity, and I want people to have a good time doing it. And I want people to not forget that you might not be here tomorrow, so let's do everything bad we can tonight... and look good while we're doing it."
In other Manson news, yesterday saw the release of the 'Guns, God and Government World Tour' Video and DVD featuring a short film "The Death Parade" personally directed by Marilyn Manson himself plus selected bits of 150hours of on the road filming.
Finally, I thoroughly recommend checking out Ben Myers book 'American Heretics' which features a brillant interview with Marilyn Manson. Check it out.
