Goldrush: Virginless
sean by Sean Adams October 16th, 2002
Dis' favourite folk pop kidz from Oxford, who're part of running Truck Records, have decided to leave their contract with Virgin Records.

We currently do not have an official statement from either Goldrush themselves or the label, but several oxford-based websites, such as oxfordbands.com claim:

"Goldrush and Virgin part ways After reports that Goldrush have been dropped by their label Virgin in the middle of promoting their debut album Don't Bring Me Down, a Truck Records statement confirmed that band and record company are indeed no longer together.

The Goldrush management 'met with Virgin last week to ask for their album back, they got it and five months before the option was up...They might well have been percieved as being 'dropped' but are seemingly delighted by their predicament...' More news on this story will no doubt follow shortly. "

More news and an offical line from the band as and when we get it.
