Banhart joins ATP curators

Happy-strumming folkie fella Devendra Banhart has been announced as the final curator at next year's United Sounds Of ATP event at Camber Sands.

The twin-weekend ATP event, an echo of 2003's Director's Cut event, will now feature the following acts (* denotes a curator):

Weekend one, May 12-14 2006
Devendra Banhart*
Mudhoney*
Yeah Yeah Yeahs*
Comets On Fire
Country Teasers

Weekend two, May 19-21 2006
Ween*
Sleater Kinney*
The Shins*

We'll have the names of confirmed acts as and when they're announced, but for all immediate details regarding booking and travel, et cetera, please see the ATP website. Banhart plays London's Astoria this very evening.

we could pretend to be friends...

there's no way anyone I know in the 'real world' will pay to go to this with me. Even getting people to go to Reading is usually pushing my luck.

If you are really interested in going I'd be up for chalet share or finding other lonesome DiSers to make it a foursome, so to speak.

My pathetic propostioning reaches out to anyone else who would like to adopt me or team up. Preferably for week 2 but really I'm not that bothered as I am sure either would be great.
