Weezer have announced a special one-off date in London on Monday August 26th. The band are to play a low-key support slot to LA glam metal behemoths Guns’ N’Roses at London Docklands Arena at the specific request of Axl Rose.
The event is apparently sold out (though a few outlying ticket agents may have the odd ticket for sale) and is the climax to Guns’N’Roses first international shows in nine years, as well as their only headlining indoor date of the tour.
The two bands have long been mutual fans of each other, and have cemented a relationship on the Festival leg of their Asian tour earlier on this month. Rumours are that Weezer may also consider being part of a projected Guns’N’Roses Arena tour of the US next year.
