Ash Crash!

Indie-favourites Ash have been involved in a road accident whilst on their way to a Detroit show.
Details of the incident have been posted on the band's official message board (www.ash-official.com) by a source close to the band.
Early reports claimed that the band were thrown from their tour bus, which sparked rumours they were to cancel tonight's (US) show. However, it has now been confirmed that the show will now go ahead. Charlotte is reported to have sustained minor injuries, while Rick suffered a few broken ribs.

I love the way she put "...while Rick suffered a few broken ribs" as an afterthought at the end. Few cracked ribs ain't serious, are they? He is only the drummer after all...

i wrote it like that because i figured that he would still be able to play on easily. but charlotte has injured her arm, they thought it was broken initially, making it more difficult to play the guitar.......

Well, when I broke my ribs it was pretty excruciatingly painful to move, let alone play the drums...
Trouble is, they'd probably need to find someone just as nerdy looking to replace him with, just in case a more attractive drummer upset the band dynamics (just look what happened to Oasis when Bonehead left- a sudden drop in overall band ugliness can really screw things up).
