Kraftwerk return - but take your passport!
greed by Graham Reed June 30th, 2002
Legendary german krautrockers / techno innovators Kraftwerk have returned…

But you’ll have to have a passport. Having virtually invented electro with their late 70’s / early 80’s albums such as 'Trans Europe Express', 'Man Machine' and 'Computer World' and being a huge influence on the techno scene, they’ve only released one new song to the public since 1986, and not a new album since 1991 (a collection of reworkings of older songs, entitled 'The Mix' ). However, they sporadically come out of hibernation to play newer unreleased material and older classics…..

While the band continue to work on embryonic new material (though only played live a handful of times, and been bootlegged to death) Kraftwerk return to the live Arena by playing three gigs as part of the Paris Jazz Festival, On Wednesday 25th (at 8:00pm) and Thursday 26th September (at 8:00pm and 23:59pm) at the Amphithéâtre du Musée, Paris.

Ticket details and other information can be found like the scheduled events here and ticket information here. Its all in french tho.

As for details of releases of any new material, well – we’ll let you know when we know!
