Yeah, yeah, yeah King of Limbs comes out very soon indeed (i.e today) and it's the new album from Radiohead. The feeling of hype and stuff over the past few days has been utterly unbearable, were it not for my own sense of perspective. Anyway they've now - and just - revealed the first video from that album, for a track called 'Lotus Flower'. You can watch it below.
THOM YORKE DANCING. THOM YORKE DANCING.
Amazingly, The Guardian appear to be running a liveblog on this whole thing for some reason. Keep up to date with everything here and more info on the official King of Limbs website here.

What an irritating video

The King Of Limbs
Some of the intimacy and warmth is left over from in rainbows – but only because this sounds like a band that find it very easy to write music now. This is a real sandwich of the wood and metal manual feel of in rainbows mixed with another new version of their mischievous electronica sensibilities as they evolve again.
Phil Selway seems to have had much less of a say in the beats, which suits me honestly. Lots of variety. Lots of Synth. I feel that this was a lot of work to piece together, but fairly effortless to listen to. Signs of a slow burner.
I thought at first there was an over reliance on Thom Yorke’s phrasing, but I think Johnny Greenwoods new cinematic touch is just really making it pop out here like a loose eye. Grotesque yet entertaining.
Thom Yorke presents:
Thom Yorke's "The Thom Yorke Show" starring Thom Yorke as Thom Yorke.
Looks/sounds great though. The less is more approach seems to be working well for these guys.
I preffered the solo version of Lotus Flower.
Not enough guitar on this one. Hopefully it's a grower.
My hearing must be even worse than I thought
This sounds like U2. Nothing more, nothing less.
U2?
Flamebaiting, sir, surely? ;)
I like the droopy sounding synths
but, as is with most Radiohead to my ears, it sounds utterly inoffensive.
not to say its not nice to listen to, just gets a bit dull in th emiddle after it doesn't change for 3 minutes.
still, the amount of .gif avatars with Thom dancing like a plonk will no doubt squeeze a chuckle in the coming months.
I thought "...sounds like U2" also!!
So I guess I'm not imagining things here.....
