Crystal Castles set for October headline tour of UK and Ireland
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater May 4th, 2010

The current wave of opinion suggests that Toronto's Crystal Castles have surpassed themselves with their latest offering, the once again eponymously titled Crystal Castles II, which we gave a first listen to here. It's out now digitally, but gets a proper release in a few weeks time.

Anyway, though they're currently heading around Europe in support of this record, they've also just announced a slightly larger headline tour for later this year, in October to be precise. It takes in all of the constituent countries of the UK and Ireland, apart from Wales, which is a bit bad.

Watch Alice Glass got a bit mental on these dates and at these places:

October:
8 - Belfast, Mandela Hall
9 - Dublin, Academy
11 - Wolverhampton, Wulfrum Hall
12 - Bournemouth, 02 Academy
15 - London, Roundhouse
16 - Bristol, Academy
18 - Liverpool, Academy
19 - Glasgow, ABC
20 - Nottingham, Rock City
22 - Manchester, Academy
23 - Leeds, Metropolitan University
24 - Norwich, UEA

Tickets are on sale NOW from LiveNation and, we are told, the Roundhouse show will be the first in the venue's history which is ALL STANDING, including the balcony.

The best thing about the record - without actually listening to it - is the cover. Yeah, GOTHY.
