Win tickets to see El Guincho playing in London this Hallowe'en
Garb no doubt assembled for this weekend’s celebration of all things dead or deathly, where will you be come the witching hours this Saturday morn?
Fancy dress or no (make the effort, sad lad), London promoters, record releasers and ‘bloggers No Pain In Pop are holding their annual Hallowe’en bash at Goldsmiths Student Union in New Cross, south London this Friday. They’ve assembled a cracking bill for it, too – check:
Time: 8pm - 3am
Live:
El Guincho
The xx
The Big Pink
A Grave With No Name
DJs:
Prancehall
Mumdance
Tomb Crew
Tapedeck
Louis Enchante (Real Gold)
Young Turks
No Pain In Pop
Sound enticing? It’ll cost you £8 to get in (£6 with NUS); advance tickets are HERE and bar prices are set to student levels all night – so for £2 you can get yourself a beer or a spirit with mixer.
If you’re still in need of coercion, the folks at NPIP/Young Turks have given DiS a pair of tickets to give away, with a copy of El Guincho’s exhilirating longplayer Alegranza (review) on vinyl thrown in for both winners too.
To win, just tell us what the most frightening thing you ever saw was and leave your name below. We’ll get in touch with you via the DiS note sending system so that we can shift a copy of Alegranza to your home address.
Un abrazo, hombres…

I'm well on this
Looking forward to this very much, as it is my uni.
The most frightening thing i ever saw?
I was off work sick, trying on clothes in my bedroom (as you do) and someone knocked on the front door. I ignored it since I was home alone and feeling particularly poorly..
About 3 minutes later i heard the door open, assuming it was my dad i carried on trying on my clothes etc....
A few minutes later my bedroom door opened. Turned around and there was a bloke stood there (wearing a burberry cap, this seemed the most important thing to tell the police in the statement afterwards). We literally just looked at each other for about 10 seconds before he ran out.
Never quite got over that. The same thing happened this morning (i was sleeping rather than trying on my clothes o.O) but it was an electrician instead of some scally wanting to rob us for all we're worth.

It's not that frightening. i just know my boyfriend would hump my leg for these tickets. (That's probably a more frightening image!)
Most frighting thing ... a naked guy jogging at 7 am in oxford street ... I'm serious!!! :)
That has been the weirdest thing I've seen in London ever!. :)
