Another Green Day Return

Since the 2001 release of their 'International Superhits' compilation, Californian 90's punk phenomenon, Green Day are to return with the release of a new compliation and UK tour.

Set for release on July 1st, the appropriately titled, 'Shenanigans' boasts a selection of b-sides, soundtrack songs, covers (such as their cover of 'Outsider' by The Ramones) and other Green Day rarities.

After the release of the album, Green Day will be undertaking a brief UK tour as follows:

July

11th - Lancashire Cricket Club, Manchester
15th - Newcastle Arena
17th - Wembley Arena, London
20th - Woollaton Park, Nottingham

Could this second "best of" format release signal the end of one of the 90's most successful international punk acts? DiS will keep you informed!

Another Green Day Return

"Could this release signal the end of the one of the 90s most successful punk acts?"

Hopefully. I'd rather they go out as one of the all-time classic bands that they are than keep drawing Green Day out. No doubt these 'best ofs' are being released just to fulfil their contract with Reprise.
