Frayed record follow-up to debut EP
misterben by Mr Ben January 13th, 2001

London bubblegum rock 3-piece Frayed have recently been in the studio recording five tracks to be included on the follow-up to their debut EP, which was released independently on the band's own Sour Lemon label at the end of 1999.

The five tracks are entitled 'Machine', 'Girls Get It Better', 'Songs Of Our Lives', 'Easy Tiger' and 'Crazy', but although recording began back in November, limited studio availability means that the band are still unsure of when the songs will be available for release.

The band's debut five-track EP, 'I'd Love To Go To Egypt', was produced by Rachel Stamp frontman David Ryder-Prangley and Therapy?'s sound engineer Harvey Birrell, and the strong media response to promo copies of the record led the band to play prestigious live dates with the likes of Caffeine and Gel.

The band's live activity has been low recently, largely because of the band members' various other commitments, but when drummer Nick Blomstrand returns in February from his solo voyage around Australia and America, it is likely that the 3-piece will play several live dates to promote the new material.
