Concrete & Glass: tickets now available for London urban festival

In October of this year, a fresh new music and arts spectacular will take place in London’s East End.

Concrete & Glass will debut over two days and nights – Thursday 2 and Friday 3 October – and is set to showcase over 100 bands and 25 exceptional artists.

The inaugural event will see DrownedinSound play host at one of the 18 venues a festival pass will grant entry to; also involved is The Times, John Kennedy and Wichita Records.

The music program of Concrete & Glass will be overseen by Eat Your Own Ears, responsible for the Underage and Field Day festivals in the capital this August. A bill that balances emerging talent with established names is the ultimate goal, and the definitive line up will appear on the official website in the next few weeks, along with more details and fun-filled facts.

The money-centric facts we can tell you: tickets will cost £25.30 per day, or £38.80 for a two-day pass. Reasonable. Tickets are available now from Seetickets.

well

depends on the line up as to wether its reasonable.

anyone fancy guessing who we might book?

we're getting it together at the moment so you might even end up suggesting someone we didn't think of

Lightspeed Champion

and CSS!

Oh

JoFo (saves the typing, doesn't it?)

I'm going to say

Ida Maria too. Just for the fun of it.

The problem

with these multi-venue Camden Crawl style events is that you can usually only fit in 4 or 5 acts per day, and suddenly that 25 quid price tag isn't that reasonable any more. And I hate queuing.

what about

Dan deacon, wedding present, laura marling, thom yorke (solo), or Neon Neon?

mmm..

Tom Baker from Eat your Own Ears has booked the line up so I reckon it might be alright.
Some names mentioned on the press release include Fence Collective, Witchita Records and The Stool Pigeon.

what exactly is

an "urban" festival??? Anything to do wth urban planning?? If so, I'm there :-)

FRIGHTENED RABBIT
