STA travelling to King's College for This Ain't No Picnic 2008
The team behind (that is?) the Small Town America organisation are to present a two-day festival at London's King's College this September: This Ain't No Picnic 2008.
Subtitle: a two-day celebration of DIY culture.
Playing live: Alan MX, Cats In Paris, Chris T-T, Copy Haho, Future of the Left (pictured), Tropics, Jam on Bread, The Young Playthings and more TBA
The dates for your diary: September 27 + 28.
All proceeds are heading to charity a la the STA all-day events of recent memory. Saturday's night runs 'til 4am - get dancing - and there'll be plenty of non-musical attractions on offer alongside two stages of band-releated fun.
Early bird tickets, priced at just £20, are available now. Click to the official site and STA's site for further information and more confirmations when they happen.

FAO GUNTRIP:
CAN SHUCKS, PIECES, LLB AND I DJ BETWEEN BANDS, PLAYING ONLY LIMP BIZKIT SONGS?
I think after my award-winning Primavera set
of Dino Jr, AC/DC, HEALTH and Deerhunter that I should be asked to DJ.
And then turn it down.
Because I'll be at a wedding that weekend.
Instead of DJs
How about a huge Minutemen playlist for between bands?
Ice, Sea, Dead People
just confirmed to play... Woo!
