Review: The Kooks on new Fratellis single

Kooks man Luke Pritchard has voiced his opnion on the new single from Scottish trio The Fratellis.

Speaking to the BBC about his band’s forthcoming appearance at their ‘Big Weekend’ event, Pritchard claimed he’d “like to see The Fratellis”, who are also playing the concert, before adding “but I really hate their new single”.

Why so, Luke?

I don’t get it. They’re a good band but I was really miffed by that single."

That single is ‘Mistress Mable’ and the video for it is below.

I would love to see them though,” continued Pritchard, “I think they would be really cool live”.

the fratelli's song

is pretty darn weak, primary school disco fodder at best - like a really bad Liam Gallagher Oasis song. Then again the new Kooks single is pretty tosh, not sure which is worse...

Yeap

Sounds like the pure essence of personality void that is Prichard... thats for damned sure.

IS THIS NEWS?

shit band

says shit band's new single is shit

it's like a bin and a bin liner

shouting at each other whilst drowning in shit.

^

hahaha!

wow

interesting insights there from the great philosopher luke pritchard. 'umm, i like them but ummm i don't like their new single.. ummmm'

this is clearly a case of

giant douche v turd sandwich

You put shit

in your bin?

I was about to say that

"And when that love comes down
Without devotion"

Is sung similarly.

basically

completely

i can't quite believe how much this sounds like 'faith'! who signed this off?!

UM

LUKE IS CUNT.

my opinion.

cradle, mable

bah

This is another case of

A band that should have stopped at their first album. Their first album was great but this is really weak.

And The Kooks shouldn't even be given the time of day. I heard them talking on XFM a couple of weeks ago and one of them said that that he went to a festival last year and the others didn't know about it. How does that happen? They sound like a bunch of strangers.

Weeeeeeeeell

Perhaps in the quieter moments in the studio, while the others were laying down their awesome musical input, he spent his time fashioning a papier mache model of himself and then left it propped up in a chair for a few days while he went to his (probably) first festival.

You've

spelt Mabel wrong - look at the title on the video...
