A new Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy album will be with us next month, courtesy of Domino.
Lie Down in the Light is Will Oldham’s sixth studio album as the Bonnie Prince, and the successor to 2006 effort The Letting Go. It’s also the brightest to date, apparently, produced with Lambchop’s Mark Nevers.
Here’s a tracklisting:
‘Easy Does it’
‘You Remind Me of Something (The Glory Goes)’
‘So Everyone’
‘For Every Field There’s a Mole’
‘(Keep Eye On) Other’s Gain’
‘You Want That Picture’
‘Missing One’
‘What’s Missing is’
‘Where’s the Puzzle?’
‘Lie Down in the Light’
‘Willow Tree Bend’
‘I’ll be Glad’
Paul Oldham, Emmett Kelly and Shahzad Izmaily all play on the record, while Ashley Webber duets with Oldham on a couple of tracks.
