Not so much flogging a bolted horse as tearing out its eyeballs for ping pong balls, EMI have announced that they’ll be releasing a Radiohead Best Of… DVD alongside the forthcoming double CD, leaving DrownedinSound nonplussed but nevertheless confused by its own metaphors.
A career-spanning collection of the band’s promo videos – featuring direction from such notables as Chris Cunningham, Michel Gondry, Sophie Muller and Jonathan Glazer - Radiohead: The Best of DVD contains 21 tracks in total, including footage of ‘2+2=5’ recorded live in France, 2003.
These are the videos finding release on the same day as that aforementioned double-CD:
‘Creep’
‘Anyone Can Play Guitar’
‘Pop is Dead’
‘Stop Whispering’
‘My Iron Lung’
‘High and Dry’ (UK version)
‘High and Dry’ (US version)
‘Fake Plastic Trees’
‘Just’
‘Street Spirit (Fade Out)’
‘Paranoid Android’
‘Karma Police’
‘No Surprises’
‘Pyramid Song’
‘Knives Out’
‘I Might be Wrong’

Oh, THANK GOD.......a Radiohead story!
It's been at least a day since we last had one of those. I was so worried that they may have split up or something.
um
When did Chris Cunningham direct a Radiohead video?
Y'know what?
If they're sponging the head dry, why not release a rarities thing? They know every fan would get it - I bet it'd do as well as, if not better than, all this best of shit - also annoy the band to death if they released studio attempts at stuff like true love waits.
Maybe someone thinks that
Push/Pulk thing was him? Or the Rabbit in Your HEadlights vid was Radiohead?
~shrug~
they don't have
access to any studio outtakes or anything. i'm sure there will be a b-sides complilation eventually.
Much as EMI are milking this dry
and I don't need a 'Best Of' or a box set, a DVD of all their videos is a thing to own.
And I actually like "Pop Is Dead".
The video is terrifying
you cannot deny that.
i used to have them all recorded off MTV
which was nice, for reece
I'm glad I never upgraded 7TV Commercials to DVD.
That is all.
Tru dat
I really want to buy this, but EMI IZ KAPITLISTS INIT
