New York Dolls, Lightspeed Champion, Siouxsie and more join Morrissey at Wireless 2008

The ominously-dubbed Morrissey day at Wireless has attracted new names, and they’re pretty damn punk - Siouxsie! New York Dolls! Dirty Pretty Things!

And Guillemots and Lightspeed Champion.

The former Smiths man’s day comes on the 4th of July in Hyde Park and features already-confirmed appearances from Beck and The National.

Tickets are on sale now at the ‘early bird’ price of £40.

when did that news come out? now can i put up with saying 'im going to morrissey day' to see beck adn the national? probably.....worth a punt do you think>?

Trouble is the venue is awful. Everything finishes by 10pm because of sound limitations in Hyde Park.
The bands are hardly audilbe.
It normally starts pretty late and the headline act (Morrisey) and the 2nd biggest act (Beck) are on at the same time.

Only worth going if your a huge fan of the main headliner. Daft Punk last year was awesome, but it wasn't a patch on the atmosphere etc at Global Gathering the previous year.
