Eugene McGuinness to open Great Escape festival for DrownedinSound - full announcement tomorrow
- Artists:
- Eugene McGuinness »
Our line-up for this year’s Great Escape is absolutely stellar. We’ll reveal the majority of the acts gracing our stage at Digital next month tomorrow morning, but for now DrownedinSound’s delighted to announce that Eugene McGuinness will raise the curtain on this year’s festival for us.
Eugene will be joined by three other acts on Thursday, the 15th of May; but as we said they’ll be announced tomorrow morning, along with the rest of our line-up.
After that, Eugene has a busy summer – he’ll be releasing a single from an album expected in the autumn through Domino, and appearing at various other festivals, including Dot to Dot, Glastonbury, Underage and Bestival.
This side of the Great Escape are these shows:
April
7 London The Enterprise
18-19 London Camden Crawl
May
1 London Macbeth
Running from the 15th ‘til the 17th of May, weekend tickets for the Great Escape can be bought here for £45.

Digital is the best refurbishment i have seen out of all the venues
by a loong looong way, so DiS should consider themselves lucky to have this venue :P
Like I say
we've got the line-up to match it, too.

I'm well looking forward to some Quadrophenia action!
i know
the answer might be 'inflation'. But why the hell was the first event £35, now it's £50? Will I be getting more for my dollar? Hmm...
