Bluetip Split - Official

'Bluetip has officially called it quits. The last lineup parted to put more of their individual energies into new projects. Jason's in a new band up in NYC called RETiSONiC (coming site at: www.retisonic.com) with Joe Gorelic (ex-Garden Variety and one-time Bluetip drummer) and they are recording soon to hopefully release an ep this summer/fall. Jake has been playing with Areif and Devin (formerly of Regulator Watts and Faraquet, respectively).'

Although this news has been a widely circulated rumour for a long time, especially since Bluetip released an album of b sides and rarities late last year, it is still a tremendous shock to all Bluetip fans. They'll be missed but obviously still prominent in the underground rock scene separately for years to come.
