Black Kids, Art Brut, Billy Childish confirmed for Kent festival

Lounge on the Farm returns to Canterbury this summer, boasting a fine-looking bill.

Initial stand outs - Billy Childish, *Black Kids, the recently dropped-Art Brut and Holly Golightly*, though headliners and the majority of the 160 acts set to appear are yet to be announced, organisers tell us.

Others who will be at Merton Farm in Kent from the 11th ‘til the 13th of July include Dub Pistols, Jon Carter, Sargasso Trio, Pete Molinari and Kevin Rowland.

Tickets for Lounge on the Farm are on sale now priced at early bird rates of £65 for the weekend, (£35 if you’re a child, £140 if you’ve two adults and two children in your party).

After that they rise to £85, (£40, £180) respectively, while day tickets are on offer at a basic £35 for adults/£20 for children.

There will be a hog roast and cider, too.

last year

This was my favourite festival last year. Didnt boast the big names of other festivals but had a really good friendly atmosphere and ethos. Must have the best taste/price ratio of food at any festival as well. Also you could get a pint of pimms with a shot of gin in it for £3.50.

new stuff

Found this one lurking around the doldrums, and thought it only fair to point out that not only are DiS faves Los Campesinos! and Johnny Foreigner playing pretty much back to back, but Holy F*ck are playing ta boot...
