More acts have been confirmed for this year’s Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona.
The major addition is Public Enemy, who will reprise their ATP Don’t Look Back show and play It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back in its entirety. Rufus Wainwright, ex-Shangri La Mary Weiss and Cat Power also perform, while the prospect of seeing el Guincho, HEALTH and No Age** in the Iberian sunshine is getting Drowned in Sound’s collective stomach rushing.
Sebadoh, Tindersticks, Dinosaur Jr, Apparat Band, Atlas Sound, Bill Callahan, Bob Mould, The Cribs, Digital Mystikz…. and that’s just up to the ‘d’s. Can it just be the 29th of May now, please? The Parc del Forum is the place to be from then ‘til the 31st.

OMFG
Best festival of the year. Already.
*dies*
what a line up.
Have the organisers ever considered putting it on
at a less stupid time of year?
haha
what's wrong with the end of May?
Errrr
I wanna go.... aarrgghh!
Fuck it, I'm going!!
Will it sell out fast? I'm not able to get online to buy a ticket thurs/fri
dj assault
is great.
it wont sell out
never have seen it sell out
Throbbing Gristle
Well worth the entry fee alone.
Psychic TV
played there there a few years ago were very bizarre
i'm so there!
sunshine, sweet sounds and sleep deprivation... last year was amazing, the 2008 line-up is just as good
Ahhhh I REALLY want to go...
would it be silly to go to something like this on your own???
I HATE this for being
right in the middle of my uni exams :( ARGHHHH.
its a bit crap for students
but otherwise fine
has it actually sold out????
Cos i am dead keen on going. My only exam is on the 20th, and would need people to go with obviously.
Fuck..
Pissed Jeans are playing.
holy shitballs
this is great
God I'm excited
I knew booking my ticket before any of the line-up was announced wasn't a silly idea.
My 3rd Primavera!
I thought this was a story about One More Grain.........
.............I'll get my coat.
fuck em'
go get a job, losers
Dumb Question alert
But theres one more BIG name to be announced then 20% of the bill to be filled up, i.e mostly Spanish bands which is all good!!
But do u really think MBV will play? I remember Dinosaur playing Bencassim and Primavera! MBV are playing Roskilde too, i would of thought Primavera is MBV's most like minded festival to do. But saying that who pays the most i guess???
no
it doesn't sell out, the tickets just get more and more expensive
MBV
are playing benicassim, so the chances are low. Nick Cave on the other hand...
This is just stellar
And if Nick Cave is announced it'll be officially the best thing ever.
Quiet
fool.
So
you to stay in hotels for this right? Does that detract from the festival-ness of it? I'm worried it would be like those ones in London, walking around Hyde Park doesn't have the same appeal as the field type events like Glasto, Reading etc.
Although, barcelona isn't exactly london i guess.
Not at all
I've gone by myself before. You'd probably want to stay in a hostel rather than hotels, so you're more likely to meet festival goers.
