New Pretty Girls Make Graves, Blood Brothers project signs to Matador, album due this summer
Risen from the screaming ashes of Blood Brothers and Pretty Girls Make Graves came Jaguar Love some while ago.
Featuring ex-BB vocalist Johnny Whitney and guitarist Cody Votolato, as well as PGMG’s player of all things Jay Clark, the band have been snapped up by Matador who want to release their records all over the planet for years to come.
Such is the desire on all sides that a debut album could be with us by this summer – check the band’s work so far at their MySpace page, which suggests “Endless Amounts of Touring” will commence on the 14th March.

WE BELIEVE IN MUSIC (or why it’s really, really important that you buy the Bloc Party LP this week).
this is good news
so sad to see PGMG and blood bros break up
This is great great news!
I cannot wait.
looking forward to this!
read somewhere that they've been opening for QOTSA in the States?
...
excited
that'd be
mint.
This
band leave such an unpleasant taste in my mouth, I think it's the fact that there's nothing to off set against Johnny's voice? I dunno, but something leaves me cold. I'm more looking forward to Jordan/Morgan and Mark's new band Past Lives http://www.myspace.com/pastlivesmusic
very much so
i think i fancy him so so so much
ace.
I'm assuming the Neon Blonde project that Johnny and Mark did is on indefinite hiatus then? Pity.
At first
I really didn't like the ol' Jaginz, but they're really growing on me.
I think Matador will be a fine home for them.
that sucks
'black cactus killer' was up there with the best BB tracks
This sounds interesting
I was a little concerned that I hadn't heard anything musical from any members post PGMG split, so I'm happy about that
ooh!
nice...
