:( Thom Yorke hates you

Now that Radiohead have gone to number one in the real world seems they don’t need their army of virtual minions any more. Maybe. Anyway, Thom Yorke has slagged off the internet in an interview with the Independent.
Talking on premises like MySpace and the, admittedly hyper-lame, Second Life, Yorke fended off accusations that the initial release method for In Rainbows found him in league with nerds, insisting that: “I don't want that. It lays bare the isolation of many internet users, who've got too much time on their hands. OMG! Sad.
"I prefer expressing myself in the real world, lol.
“Huuuurrrr.”
In other news, the band will appear on the 200th episode of Later… with Jools Holland; beaming out on BBC2 sometime in February along with Cat Power, Feist, Dionne Warwick. You can also read about Radiohead’s ascension to the top of the pop charts here.

We Love Homelands 2005: Festival Review
actually i didn't
he's rich and talented, i'm sure he couldn't care less.
Wonky eye man
He no forgive you for downloading Kid A for free and paying 0.6p for his new album.
No more Radiohead news please.
does anyone else get the feeling
thom yorke's cottoned onto the fact it doesn't matter what he says, people will still love his band, so he's just taking the piss non-stop?
it's funny, i guess
in other news, though
cat power and feist on the same tv show? might it not explode in a mass of early-thirties-indie-lady-hotness? and if it does, can i be there?
was i the only
one who thought this was Thom Yorke having a dig at colon open bracket..
They laughed but
I think they were equally "ZOMG IT'S THOM YORKE!" so I think it was okay.
no
i thought that too :$
i haven't seen that yet
but yeah whatever, he knew what he was doing, especially if he went on a show and did something even jimmy carr could make fun of
I'm having a dig at colonopenbracket.
as they were the ONLY good band from aberdeen, then they moved to stinkin' glasgow.
Lily Allen
irritated me on Quiz of the year for her dig at Radiohead
^ this
Plus, she looks like a mong. So I was doubly offended
Typo
'seems they don’t their army of'?
i cant find the unedited version!
wheres the unedited version on youboob - have some The Radioheads fans deleted it?
most overrated band eveeeeeeerrrrr
ok computer and the bends are alright
that massive media campaign tv ads billboards full page - was there any need for that? i hope thom and xl are offsetting with a few forests and village water pumps in africa
he does do a lot for the world i spose but i still just dont like his face or his pedestrian band - that harrow down hill track is a banger though
that's sounds like
an unusually brilliant episode of jools holland
baws to that
PVH are amaze
DID HE ACTUALLY SAY "HURRRR"?!??!?!
OMGOMGOMGOMG
Nah, it's been taken out of context
The remark was actually made specifically about second life, but i guess someone thought it made a more attention grabbing headline this way
but adding the lol and omg was kinda funny
A comment a guy made..
..on the Guardian site sums her downloading quibble perfectly....
'I think she mentioned that such initiatives were stopping 'ver kids' entering the music biz. Shame that the kids don't have the advantage of relying on faked street cred, family connections, a team of knob-twiddlers and a crafty broadsheet publicity campaign to launch their careers.
.
.
I fear that the 'interesting backstory' articles that lazy journalists trotted out when they launched her career may soon be providing her equally vile brother with more publicity fodder.'
**Lily Allen**
see above
Noel Fielding was like
"was that real"
"thats amazing"
he was well happy. No one really laughed at them, Yorke made an AWESOME joke.
Tree-mendous
truth
and their new song is off the hooook
