Warbling melodramats Smashing Pumpkins will soon release a new, download only EP through popular media outlet iTunes.
Frontman Billy Corgan revealed the news in an interview with Billboard, stating that said EP will be made up of four tracks – ‘Sunkissed’, ‘Pox’, ‘Again, Again, Again’ and ‘The Rose March’; the latter having already been played live.
American Gothic, as the collection’s been christened, will be out in the US on January 2nd.
"I had written a bunch of material during the residencies in Asheville and San Francisco,” squealed Corgan. “and fans kept asking us if we were gonna put any of that stuff out.
"iTunes came to us wanting to do something together, so it just felt right."
The EP was produced by Corgan and fellow band member Jimmy Chamberlain.

Of Montreal's Kevin Barnes loves...
well
I quite liked Zeitgeist.....so yay.
Zeitgeist...
...was pretty unlistenable as far as I was concerned- sounded like it was recorded inside a dustbin
Zeitgeist wasn't as terrible as some make out
but For God And Country is one of the worst things ever committed to record
The Rose March is lovely
More United States/Tarantula and less 7 Shades of Black/Doomsday Clock.
In fact, no more of the six-Corgan's-at-once production.
Eeeeek!
Not sure what to say!
just say
yes
