Radiohead announce first live shows of 2008

Oxford quintet Radiohead have revealed their first tour dates of 2008, rigging up to rawk out at a couple of German festivals in the new year.

The act will play the Southside Festival, near Munich and the Hurricane Festival, near Hamburg over the weekend of the 20th to the 22nd of June. Exact appearances on exact dates are yet to be clarified.

No ticket details have emerged as of yet, but last year prices for weekend billets were set at €109 for Hurricane and €99 for Southside.

Confirmed to feature alongside the act are Billy Talent, Epitaph’s German punks Beatsteaks and skate goons NoFX. Radiohead played both events on their 2003 Hail to the Thief-era world tour.

Had me exited for a moment

But then you say they're in Germany. Boo! I like the description 'skate goons NoFX'. Good work.

I wonder if..

You'll be able to choose how much to pay for the tickets. You know, as in not however much you eventually have to shell out on eBay to some poor excuse for a human tout.

there has to be

uk dates, imagine the band giving their record away and then being like fuck you if you think we are playing the country though.

^ Great idea ^

I hope they make it so.

I used to Live......

about 30 mins drive from where they have southside. Its a stones throw from friedrichshafen airport on lake constance, which acan be accessed from stansted (Ryanair) for as little as 20 quid return if youre lucky. Might be worth a look?
However last year a tent fell down and crushed somebody to death, and it tends to be the same weekend as glasto???
