New Bonnie Prince Billy covers record in the offing
TheBoyDeadly by TheBoyDeadly October 23rd, 2007

Will Oldham’s taking his Bonnie Prince Billy alias and crediting a new album to it.

Ask Forgiveness is a covers record; taking songs by the likes of Danzig, Björk and R Kelly and reworking them for the release which is due through Domino on the 19th of November.

Oldham’s joined in his efforts by Meg Baird and Greg Weeks of Espers as well as cellist Maggie Wienk.

Tracklisted:

’I Came Here to Hear the Music’
‘I've Seen It All’
(Björk)
‘Am I Demon’ (Danzig)
‘My Life’
‘I'm Loving the Street’
‘The Way I Am’
‘Cycles’
‘The World's Greatest’
(R. Kelly)

Slaves to our own musical knowledge and Google, DiS came unstuck with the sources of the other songs. We will, however, update this story as we fill the blanks.
