You like zombies? You like trailer trash? You like drinkin’ and dancin’? You like DiS?
Great! We’ve a show for you. And possibly you, too, but only if you clean your teeth this time.
On Friday November 2, DiS is joining forces with Crossfire (delicious linkage) and Vans (shoes!) to present an evening of Halloween-themed merriment, at London’s Yacht Club (Temple/Embankment Tube) on the Thames.
On the night, which starts at 8pm and runs right through ‘til 3am (so you can hot-step it down from Release The Bats if you’re up for some dancing), DJs will play a selection of party classics; expect the DiS DJs aboard – namely Gareth Dobson and myself – to be reliving the joyous sets of Barfly nights past, punching the air with drunken fists and quite possibly tipping a few shipmates over the side in the name of fun.
The night’s shenanigans is spread across two rooms: one hosted by Crossfire featuring DJs Zac Slack (Crossfire), Ed Pitt (Scenario Records) and DJ Copious Breaks (Records Kingz); t’other managed by ourselves and starring DiS DJs, Daniel P Carter of Radio 1’s Rock Show, and James Sherry of Kerrang! and Crossfire infamy.
He plays a mean pinball. Probably.
It’s a come one, come all event, for over-18s only. Tickets can be reserved by e-mailing the address below, and payment will be taken on the night, upon arrival. Door tax: a clean fiver. Bargain!
Fancy dress is a must: come as either a zombie or as trailer trash, the option is yours. But do come appropriately attired, and in the mood for a party. Because this could be the one to end them all.
Unless I have a rotten kebab on the way.
For tickets: simply e-mail your name to mike DOT diver AT drownedinsound DOT com. No money will be taken but you must pay upon arrival at the party. There is no free-entry guestlist – everyone pays a fiver. Attendees will have the chance to win some tasty Vans goodies on the night, too. Do get your names in quick, as once the DiS allocation is gone, it’s gone.
Add this party to your gig calendar here; check out Crossfire at their site here; see you on November 2!

No, no, yes and yes, sometimes. What do I win?
A high five
on the night.
noooooooooooooo
It shouldn't be the same night as RTB!
But
You CAN do both.
On seeing that Poster I thought that
It was being co-promoted with Trailer Trash, friday night polysexual dirty electro shoreditch night extraordinaire. I would have paid much more than a fiver to see that..
Trailer Trash...
does indeed rule.
I'd be happy to just sit
and watch the audience clash.
Yeah Boo!
i got excited thinking that Trailer Trash the dirty electro night of goodness @ On The Rocks was teaming up for a Halloween with DiS
I am very DiSappointed
Genius...
Alcohol and water are always a brilliant combo. Especially when moody, outspoken dimwits are involved.
