Xfm will play the new Radiohead album in its entirety from midday tomorrow.
Not much of a 'coup' perhaps, seeing as everyone in the free world will be able to hear the thing from midnight tonight - but daring nonetheless to wrest away over 40 minutes from the schedulers.
"Radiohead are one of the most important British bands of all time," said the station's head of music Mike Walsh, "and we are hugely passionate about them here at Xfm.
"We are very excited about being the only radio station to give our listeners the full interrupted experience of hearing the new album in its entirety".

Well
As I mentioned elsewhere, NME are to have the "first review on the planet" of the album tomorrow. It says so on their website. They explained that this will be achieved by them... downloading it when it's available to everyone, then writing their first impressions about it on their blog. So NME have the exclusive. It must be true.

Said a little bit ago you wouldn't be able to get it until about 10am tomorrow, I think.
Can they do that?
surely just because its free doesent mean they have the copywrite or something?
they did the same thing with KidA

Same Here.
It's 'on or before 10th October,' though, right?
What if
Radiohead's site crashes for excessive traffic (not so unlikely) and they don't get the album? ;)
