Weezer: coughing out an update

Information is coming out in dribs and drabs about Rivers et al's next album. The latest update is a fan-boy's account of a recording session, penned by their weezer.com webmaster, Karl Koch.
"The vibe is healthy, full of dialogue, cooperation, forward thinking and interested experimentation. The sound is definitely Weezer, but not quite like any Weezer I've heard before. Or rather, not like any one style that Weezer has ever tried, but a fresh combination with some new flavors on top.
"It sounds as if the band has grown into a new land that they had previously only skirted around the edges of - a land where arrangements are getting adventurous, where song structures, lengths and feels are given plenty of sunlight and fresh water and allowed to grow into what the songs demand. It sounds really cool. Like an excellent music farm. Or perhaps a food co-op."
Er, right.
Despite those two paragraphs, this writer can't help but feel a little excited. I'm actually setting up a prayer group - it's called 'Face California Every Day At 5pm And Pray This Album Wont Be Another Make Believe'. Feel free to join in.

DiSband #1: Hadouken!
Pig is lovely, so I'm hopeful.
Also, I've met Karl!
good for you.
i have orange squash in my moustache.
if there's
any Beverley Hills kind of shite on there I'm not touching it.
..
anyone that likes beverley hills, is a moron. yup
i didn't hate it
but only because some of the songs were rips offs off blue album tunes
...
WHAT?
baffling
Pinkerton > ALL
Beverly Hills
was a funny ass song, it reminds me of that song-that-people-only-sing-when-they're-pissed-out-of-their-minds song by fratellis
make believe
unfairly maligned.
>green>maladroit
Hard to believe
that Rivers was going to leave "Buddy Holly" off of the Blue Album, but "Beverly Hills" was the first single from Make Believe...
truedat
blud
I will never say a bad word about this band
Because they made Pinkerton.
Why is that hard to believe?
Weren't there 6 or 7 years between the two albums?
Blue album > Pinkerton
Maybe it's only 'emo' guys who think Pinkerton's better due to every song being about some fucked up relationship...
Harumph
Whatever guys, Pig was nice but I'm still betting the album will be a classic turd. Why? Because my hopes and dreams have been dashed by the last two albums.
I've been listening to loads of Weezer B-Sides recently. Fuck. Yeah. Sugar Booga's bloody good.
I was joking
and just seeing how people reacted to some nonsense.
I don't think there's any album ever made by any band that is better than 'Pinkerton.'
A Weezer b-sides / unreleased compilation album could be incredible; not a great fan of Sugar Booger though.
^^
Pinkerton > Blue Album > Green Album > > > >> Maladroit > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Make Believe
Forward Thinking and Interested Experimentation
Does this mean synths, drum machines, keyboards and an electro twist?
Very quickly:
Blue album = best album ever recorded (or something like that)
Beverly Hills = worst song ever conceived after "We built this city on rock'n'roll" by Jefferson Starship
