Ooooh: first acts confirmed for Electric Proms '07
Kaiser Chiefs and Mark Ronson are the first two artists to confirm their part in this year's Electric Proms.
The event, scheduled to run from 24-28 October, buoys that impressive opening gambit further with the news that Ronson will be joined by Tim Burgess, Lily Allen, Candie Payne and Terry Hall for his musack-baiting karaoke.
The 'Chiefs, meanwhile, will be appear with David Arnold; a man who composed some stuff for James Bond.
Expect them to “throw away the rule book of what you can or can't do with a rock band and a bunch of musicians that you may not expect to seem on stage with them."
That edict tailed off a bit, didn't it? Kaisers and Arnold - 26th October; Ronson et al. - 24th.
Further additions to the bill will be announced this coming Monday (10th Sep) with tickets going on sale two days later at midday.
