Bright Eyes will not be playing their scheduled UK shows this week following lynchpin Conor Oberst's contraction of some sort of bug. Like, I dunno, the shits or something. With those white threads: bad news.
The affected dates are:

15 Bristol
16 Liverpool
17 Nottingham
18 + 19 V Festival
Says the band's label:
Illness has forced the cancellation. Bright Eyes would like to express their utmost thanks to all their fans and supporters and sincerely apologise for this unfortunate occurrence.

in booking tickets/ booking bright eyes to play any more----thats 5 dates in the UK hes pulled this year (at least)...and hes played what - 3?

bright eyes, or conor at least, offer very hit n mis performances anyway, so you can alway kid yerself that the dates he's pulled out of were the ones that were going to shit anyway. although, they could have been the truly legandary ones... like that great shep bush show on july 4th. he's one of those guys you ahve expect this stuff from, like doherty... but when you finally get him on stage and on form, it's worth the bother, it really truly is. x

i'm so glad i'm not going now... he was gonna b my highlight... well, along with james, editors and happy mondays... but i can them any time. much more excited about leeds... how often do you get to see smashing pumpkins?... like, never. get the fuck in!
the only other ones I can think of
was the nottingham show that was listed on the saddle creek website but never actually booked, the eden one, he plays here a lot considering.

'i cant get my equipment to a show ive known about for two months' is not a valid excuse to cancel a show.
He plays here a lot considering what? He plays like 30 date tours in the US...5 or 6 shows in a year isnt that impressive.
