..

Oh fantastic. I love re-issues of albums. It's always nice to think of the industry tits sat around thinking "everybody that could possibly want this album has it, so, instead of spending our time finding a new band to sell them, lets make them but the same albums AGAIN!!!Brilliant!"

And the public turn to downloading.

is Control

the film out soon by any chance

control will be out in oct, i think

i watched control and its amazing. even most elitist film critics burst into tears and joy at cannes. new order's glasgow dvd is coming too.

fuckers

It's not like....

...anybody's forcing anyone to buy the re-issues. Maybe if you were a huge joy division fan you'd rather have the option of paying for extra live tracks than not? If you want to buy the non-reissued i'm sure you'll still be able to for 5 pounds from wherever and have not so nice packaging and not as many songs.

Oh my...

...Joy Divison live in High Wycombe! That was at the Town Hall I believe. Nowadays the only bands that play there are like 'Whole Lotta Led' the Led Zeppelin cover band.

I can't imagine how amazing it must have been to see Joy Divison there back in the day...

What... another reissue?

Man you're really spoiling us? How many joy division reissues is that now? Surely we're nearing double figures x

and the pistols

played there too.

i used to live in why-come-bye.. it really is a nowhere town

Money for old rope

but what good rope it was!

ah man

why these guys have to sell out?
They were great making trainers in the early days

High Wycombe: Not All Crap

CounterCulture records in Desborough; live music back at the Nags Head, London Road; Pass Out Promotions; BCUC's highly-regarded music industry management course; the town where Youthmovies formed; home of one third of Try Harder Records (err, me)

OK, that's about it.

Fact: Wycombe District Council banned live music at the Town Hall after concert-goers and the band they had come to see engaged in bouts of spitting at one another. The band? Adam & The Antz...

Thing is

yes, reissue blah rant etc, BUT: Each one has effectively a whole album's worth of live material, so it's not so bad really.

Yeeeaaah but, it is crap really...

my parents still live a ten min drive from there.

I grew up there... its shit, I prefered scorpion records.
That is it.

Fact: Snowpatrol said they reached their lowest ever point headlining The White Horse, HW and considered packing it all in after that gig. The saddest thing is they didn't.

oh and also...

...Bucks College Music industry management course is only well-renowned as its the only place in the UK to do it (someone i knew used to lecture on it and i know two people who went on it).

Also, strange how YM now relisquish all ref's to HW... they are now based in a lovely little village near Oxford, I've been there, its nice.
