Dreampop four-piece Asobi Seksu are to release their second album, Citrus, via One Little Indian on August 13.
The New York-based outfit - whose vocalist Yuki switches between Japanese and English lyrics - also release a single next month. 'Thursday' will be out on Monday August 6.
The band's self-titled debut was only recently officially released in the UK, again by One Little Indian. It was met with critical acclaim, with DiS commenting: "This is sex with some serious emotional strings attached."
Okaaaay...
Citrus was produced by Chris Zane (Les Savy Fav, Calla) in NYC, and comes with artwork designed by Sean McCabe (Mates Of State, Interpol). It looks very pretty indeed. Look out for a review around the time of release.

It's very good

great album
buy it, listen to it,
This album
= yum.
One of the best releases of last year
Nigh-on masterpiece, a huge step forward from the okay/good debut.
Great
Bought a promo copy of this recently. It is brilliant.
Fans of recent Blonde Redhead will love it.
masterpiece ??
hmmm. a few interesting pieces but i found it [in the main] drab and unfocussed... not unlike a lot of 2nd division shoegaze acts from yesteryear.
It's very good indeed.
But see 'em live. They are the business.
a must
it's excellent.
indeed
I cant wait for this album to come out,
I just entered the remix comp they have on imeem.com
It's a great record
and better live.
I think this will probably break them,
I heard Thursday in Topshop the other day.
Still can't decide whether that's a good thing, or not.
Its gggrrreeat
Aint nothing wrong with hearing a good band in a bad shop, it just mean its not run by complete morons???

.
I love Asobi Seksu. I missed them live here too, but here's hoping they'll do a tour when the album is finally 'released' here.
I completely agree with the sentiments that Citrus is one of the albums of last (now this) year.
Awesome record
Good thing its properly coming out here.
