Minus The Bear's Planet of Ice set for September release

Seattle-based alterna-indie quintet Minus The Bear are to release their third long-player proper on September 10, through Undergroove.
The follow-up to 2005's well-received Menos El Oso was recorded by former band member Matt Bayles in Seattle; Bayles' keyboard position has been filled by Alex Rose.
Having had the record on in the office a couple of times lately, DiS can report that it is good. A massive departure from previous material? Maybe... there's certainly a greater electronica edge to it than albums past.
For more information click to the band's website here. UK tour dates are expected later this year, so keep them peeled for those.

Øya Festival, Oslo: the DiS preview
Shame it leaked months ago
But it is rather good. I've ordered it on limited coloured vinyl. Its supposed to ship next week, excellent.
thats great to hear...
...im going to sleep a lot easier thanks to that news. Let me know if the shipment is delayed
I read "Bayles' keyboard position has beenfilled by
AXLE ROSE!!" :D
My mistake
It ships early August. So more like 2-3 weeks time. Still seems to be on time though, no note of any delays or anything. Did you order it though Vinyl Collective? Which colour did you get?
can you imagine that!
half-way through the set the indie-faithful are suddenly subjected to a 10 minute rendition of 'November Rain'. More likely is that the keyboard would be left out at gigs but without the keyboardist actually turning up despite numerous promises that he would...
Minus The Bear with more electronica?
This will be good.
Indeed it shall
I've only heard one track so far but that was ace. I'm very excited about the prospect of coloured vinyl too. Good thing I start my new job next week, I shall be needing lots of lovely wages with all these good albums coming out soon.
Awesome!
and UK Dates to boot!
No
I ordered it through idontgiveashit.com
when?
where?
it is well well well good.
give me the vinyl plz.
oh
get over yourself
Although I did find JOANJOAN's comments initially amusing,
I give a shit, and I did pre-order my copies from Vinyl Collective/Suburban Home. I opted for the clear with silver splatter, but ordered the solid silver too, more from a collecting point of view than anything else! They had the deal on the whole set, but I don't like MTB quite that much!
yep...
...when??
