Yeasayer: debut UK shows and single

Sorta odd but hella good Brooklyn four-piece Yeasayer (think Liars at their most mystical toying with Animal Collective oddness and jazzy basslines) are heading to the UK in August for their first-ever dates on this side of the Atlantic.
The quartet - whose only other confirmed date on their MySpace (click for link) is a show with Spankrock in Baltimore later this month - call in at the following venues:
August
13 London Barfly
14 London Brixton Windmill
15 London Old Blue Last
18 London DiScover Club @ Notting Hill Arts Club (details)
Spot a bit of a theme, there? The band, as yet, have no dates announced for anywhere but London - if we hear differently we'll let you know.
The band's debut single, '2080'/'Sunrise', is to be released via We Are Free on August 20. Both tracks can currently be heard at the band's MySpace site. An album is expected in the autumn.
Yeasayer have been on the DiS stereo a fair amount lately, so we recommend you get along to one of the above shows. Yep yep.

Aug 21st at Club Fandango at the Dublin Castle in - yes! - London.
Good stuff.
About time 2080 got a release. It's been lodged firmly in my brain for months. Surely a single of the year contender.
where do you hear
Liars????
