Hard-Fi have revealed the tracklisting for their second album Once Upon A Time In The West, which some people might call ‘eagerly awaited’.
Or ‘hotly anticipated’, something like that.
The album is out September 3 and is preceded by a single, 'Suburban Knights', on August 20. The band’s first LP, Stars Of CCTV, sold a shit lot of records in 2005.
Here is what Hard-Fi, seen right hanging out in a pissy car park stairwell, have seen fit to call their new songs:
'Suburban Knights'
'I Shall Overcome'
'Tonight'
'Watch Me Fall Apart'
'I Close My Eyes'
'Television'
'Help Me Pleas'
'Can't Get Along'
'We Need Love'
'Little Angel'
'The King'
The band will play some songs old and new at the following venues later this month:
July
25 Southampton Joiners
26 London Dublin Castle
27 Stoke Sugarmill
29 Manchester Roadhouse
30 Edinburgh Cabaret Voltaire
- Big names hop on the African Express
- Hard-Fi: biting back at the backlash
- 'Class swots' class war? NME writer hits out at OMM's 'fear and disgust of the working classes'
- Chart round-up: Don't call me Whitney, 'less you're addressing the artist at three
- Public Enemy keen to work with Hard-Fi
- Hard-Fi to tour arenas this winter
- Chart round-up: nation forgets to buy chocolate
- Hard-Fi - Once Upon A Time In The West
knights = NIGHTS
I geddit!! Hahahahahah. Gak.
'Help me pleas' - is that a typo or a pun?
Is ths really news?
As ashamed as I am to admit it
I really like the new single, it's a rousing little number. Terrific outro as well. Sorry.
Can I please complain again that
their album is being released quite quickly in comparison to labelmates Distophia who still haven't released their album 2 years on?
BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are two reasons why Distophia haven't got their album out
1) they still haven't worked out how to tune up their guitars yet from their first ep, which as fun as it was, sounded like a secondary school band playing in a toilet with 3 stringed guitars
2) the world is an evil, unfair place and the righteous seldom prosper.
My head says 1 my heart says 2
Hard Fi
They're not very good at music are they?
They did provide one of my favourite lyrics in recent times though, possibly giving an insight into Richard Archer's bedroom antics;
"like a fist, can't resist". Hmm
I bet Dave Berry likes them though.
An damming endorsement if aver there was one.
the west?
what, bristol?
Have you heard their new single?
Why has he taken to singing like Robbie Cunting Williams?
Dogshit.
Help Me Please
was on that War Child thing a while back. Not a bad tune.
Harlow I guess
Wicky-wicky-wah.
I was
hoping that they would disappear. I may have to go into hidng in September.
hmmm
I feel like going into a tirade about how bad Hard Fi are, but I would be stating the obvious. I just hope when people look back on music in the 'naughty noughties' (sorry bad joke) that they aren't mentioned, I think thats the only thing we can hope for really.
i had forgotten about hard-fi
totally
but but but
the joiners is fucking TINY! ??
why?
So's the Dublin Castle.
here tour bus is probably larger than the venue. I'm presuming it's a small scale tour of tiny tiny venues for die hard fans or to road test new material in a live enviroment.
Three cheers
for Blokecore!
