New October dates announced for Rufus Wainwright
His new album might have sounded ‘a bit much’, but he’s still alright by our reckoning - Rufus Wainwright is headed for the UK in October for a ten-date tour.
The lederhosen-clad chamber pop maestro will tarry a while in our green and pleasant land as part of his world tour, with support from Scott Matthews.
Tickets go on sale June 29.

so so good
at glastonbury. not sure went on at the end when he did his little cabaret bit. did they pull the plug on him?
weird that.
disturbed a little by it as well as im not a huge fan.
the pa
went down.
that....
and he is also a bit of a twat!
Such a shame
because it looked like so much effort had gone into it.
Him and Martha doing Hallejuah was beautiful though
It was more annoying though
that he did it again (still with a crap pa) and overran his set which meant Arcade fire were late, then bjork was late, which meant she had to cut a few songs off her set.
Annoying
AND embarrassing!!
i agree...
...about the album. Both myself and a close mate are finding it a bit too decorative, but yes we'll still be there for the gigs.
Rufus in Cardiff's new fabluous opera house! Too good to miss.
Rufus in the Sage
I'm so inappropriately excited!
Saw Rufus
and what I can only assume was his ridiculously attractive boyfriend on scabby Kings Street in Hammersmith on Tuesday. True fact. Arnie Schwarzenegger (or however the fuck you spell it) was around there at the time too. Good story, I know.
i thought it was a bit OTT
i can see why he did it but I'd rather he played his own songs. Same goes for hallelujah, if he's going to get martha on, i'd rather he played in my arms.
thats a fucking awesome story
i'd of jumped on him
