Edwyn Collins to release new LP

Pop star, producer and now happily convalesced man, Edwyn Collins, is to release a new album, Home Again, through Heavenly Recordings on September 17 2007.
It’s Collins’ sixth solo record, but his first for a long while following a cerebral haemorrhage in 2005. Partly recorded before his seriousness illness, but only just finished, the LP is twelve tracks long. A single, ‘You’ll Never Know’, will precede it on September 10.

Edwyn formed the seminal act Orange Juice and the hugely influential Postcard Records on which they released a string of acclaimed singles in the late 1970s. Edwyn then persued a solo career including the hit 1994 single ‘A Girl Like You’, and has produced a number of albums, including The Cribs' The New Fellas album.

A fit and well Edwyn Collins is a very good thing.
There was
a demo of that track on his MySpace about a year ago. One of my favourite things he's ever written. Lovely stuff. Look forward to hearing the full LP.
