DiS-sponsored July jaunt: Rolo Tomassi and Meet Me In St Louis hit the road together
DiS is pleased as a pig rolling in the very finest shit to inform you that we're right behind the July tour by Sheffield keyboard-core screamers Rolo Tomassi (pictured) and Guildford/London-based avant-garde alt-rockers Meet Me In St Louis.
By which we mean we're sponsoring it. We're not lurking behind little Eva, all evil-eyed and grinning nastily. Oh no no no - she'd beat the crap out of us if we did. Check out the flyer here.
July dates as follows...
July
14 London Barfly
15 Oxford The Cellar
16 Cardiff Barfly
17 Bristol The Croft
18 Birmingham Barfly
19 Leicester Firebug with Lovvers and Public Relations Exercise
20 Mansfield The Mill
21 Leeds Brudenel Social Club
22 Worcester TJ's
23 York Barfly
24 Manchester The Phoenix
25 Glasgow Barfly
26 Aberdeen Cafe Drummonds
27 Sheffield The Corporation
The eagle-eyed among you might notice that the London date is the same day as SuperSonic in Birmingham, which means I can't bloody well go. Balls. Does someone want to put me up in either Leicester or Bristol...? Or anywhere, for that matter.
In related news, the ever-so-awesome MMISL are on tour with the equally ace Secondsmile from tomorrow. Dates below...
May
24 Cardiff The Barfly
25 Sheffield The Corporation
26 Leeds Dry Dock (free entry)
27 Birmingham Flapper and Firkin
28 London Water Rats (w/ We Are Carnivores, Tatsunoko's Bear)
29 Leicester Firebug
30 Bristol The Croft
A split single featuring tracks from both MMISL and Secondsmile will be available at all dates, and in shops from June 11. Neat!

rolo tomassi
played with josh t pearson on sunday---very weird...both really good but an odd line up...followed by....er....lethal bizzle. hmmm
I love MMISL so much.
:D excellent news! Rolo Tomassi are ace as well.
I'll be at the Barfly show
without a shadow of a doubt.
Same week as Converge as well, couldn't get much better!
If you live in London and cant wait
come see MMISL play with Popular Workshop at The Good Ship on June 12th. Will be grand.
how come there's a Sheffield date
but no Guildford date? this is unfair.
tremendous
can't wait
.
We literally couldn't fit any more dates into the tour unfortunately. In fact, we had to turn quite a few down. Maybe the band's can go and play the places which miss out later in the year? MMISL will certainly be playing Guildford again before long no matter what, don't worry about that
:-)
wow. it's good to see they're in high demand
saw MMISL a couple of weeks ago supporting the Paper Chase, and they were brilliant. The new stuff sounds awesome
I ordered their new split off you folks at BSM today!
Cool
Thanks for that. The vinyl has, as is always the case, been delayed, so it should be waiting for us in Sheffield on Friday. I'll sort all of the orders when I get home. Hope you like it!
i've slowly
and eagerly anticipated finally seeing MMISL. and not only is it with rolo tomassi, but lovvers and public relations exercise. now that is a strong line up that cannot be missed. roll on the firebug...
These tours are...
...sick
The Oxford date
also features Shut Your Eyes And You'll Burst Into Flames and probably another band yet tbc.
whoop whoop!
ady
No Brighton gig......
this upsets me, and should be sorted pronto!
oh and...
Cutting Pink With Knives are also playing the Leicester Rolo Tomassi/MMiSL show...
Leicester - Worcester
I've heard that Cutting Pink With Knives are playing at the Leicester gig.
Also, does anyone know any more details for the Worcester gig?
apparently
its free entry! other than that no details as yet.
