Primal Scream have inked a deal with B-Unique.
After parting ways with former imprint Columbia, the band will release the follow-up to last year's Riot City Blues on the London based label.
So who will they be sharing stables with? The Automatic and The Ordinary Boys are signed to B-Unique, as you would have seen if you'd clicked that handy link earlier in the article. They'll be sharing hay with recent signings The Twang, too.
Label co-founder and -boss Martin Toher is chuffed:
"Signing a band as legendary as Primal Scream is a massive honour, they are one of the best British bands of all time".

i wish they would fuck off
i used to loooooovvvvvvvveeeeeee them and now they just seem incredibly embarasseing
please go away primal scream!
x
i hate everything about them
but especially Bobby Gillespie's face.
They are in the last chance saloon.
The last album was fucking nauseating. A bunch of sad old men's midlife crisis.
But they've pulled it off before, so hopefully they will again.
Absolute toss
except for 'Swastika eyes'
"les idiots"
you people writing these comments, probably doesnt know anything about rock n roll or never saw them live. go and listen klaxons. :-)
awful awful awful
I just hate them so much and even more since I remembered the picture I saw of Bobby Gillespie riding a Chopper.
is a Chopper
some kind of farmyard animal?
reads
"signing a geriatric band such as Primal Scream is a massive boost of sales, we rely on their hardcore fans to cover for all those shit label mates' poor sales"
it's a shit bike
from the 70's popular amongst Japanese people in London and cunts like Bobby Gillespie
...
especially the Ordinary Boys.
Still the greatest
Primal Scream embody everything that is great about rock n roll.
Don't like Riot City Blues? Well check out Vanishing Point. Do't like Screamadelica? Then maybe XTRMNTR is for you. Don't like any of the above, check your own pulse because you're obviously fucking dead.
Geriatric, don't like his face,Bobby rides a bike. Fucking hell you cunts have really travelled to hell and back with those comments!!!
....
never really liked them tbh. hope they change my mind with a new record
primal scream
are spent
long life
to the scream!
Oh please
Gillespie has been living a charmed life, a "Scream" albums quality purely relys on who produces it, his lyrics are always embarrasing and the last album was DULL. Boring band aside from their hilarious rock n roll antics: looks like they're on the right label.
It's not just Bobby
Primal Scream is a collection of amazing musicians. Andrew Innes has produced lots of their best work. Bobby might be the rock n roll spokesman, but they are a gang in every sense. How is that living a charmed life?
Isn't every great band a collection of all its parts?
Doesn't every great band also get in different producers for different lps, depending on the sound?
Having the musical ear to find the right one time and time again is as big a talent as there is.
time and time again?
like on riot city blues?
XTRMTR
was essential.
Vanishing Point
I thought was pretty good.
They should be forced to not listen to the Black Crowes.
Let me guess..
they're going to 'reinvent' themselves again..
I liked
there early twee stuff. After that...meh really. Velocity Girl will always raise a smile though.
XTRMNTR
is the only good thing they've done
I hated Screamadelica....
....except for Slip Inside This House. Which is a cover. Oh dear.....
