Exclusive: Feist gets pen-pally with DiS
TheBoyDeadly by TheBoyDeadly March 20th, 2007

Leslie Feist, aka Feist, has sent DiS a little update on her current comings and goings, the result of which will be something we're calling A New Album.

The Reminder, Feist's third long-player, is released here on April 23. That's roughly a month away - hurray! Here, in something of an exclusive, we present a letter from America. Or Canada, even, since that's where Feist calls home:

Hi England. Long time no see. Since setting off the fire alarm at King's College a couple years ago I've been zig-zagging the world for sound. The road rolled into the studio and like a thistle-thorn tumbleweed I collected some people on the way. I made this record in an old French house, a forest of microphones in two parlour rooms, with some friends. My band from Canada (the Brothers Baird, Julian Brown), some Canada-Euro transplants (Mocky and Gonzales) and one of your countrymen, Jamie Lidell. We wore bathrobes for two weeks while playing goat nails and cornflakes and this is what became of it. Hope it tastes like something to your tastemaking tongues. See you soon. F."
