DiS @ NYC: Live From London party tomorrow
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver March 12th, 2007

Hello Britain, how's tricks? DiS is in New York right now - it's currently 11.50 in the morning and the city is surprisingly quiet - 'cause tomorrow we're partying (all the time, party all the time, party all the time) at the Live From London event.

The twin-gig showcase - shows are held at the Bowery Ballroom and the Mercury Lounge - sees the likes of Amy Winehouse, Tunng, The Pipettes and more rolling into NYC for some giggage. PLUS: DiS is DJing at the afterparty, at the Mercury Lounge. Metronomy (pictured) and Banglime (a spin-off rock project of Metric) will be playing live. Neat? Neat.

For loads more information, click your way to the official Live From London website, here.

Following tomorrow night's fun fun fun, we shoot off to South By Southwest in Austin - hopefully you've checked out our preview coverage, but if not it's all over the front page. Be sure to check out DiS from Wednesday for updates on what's hawt and what's nawt at the industry's most hectic few days of business crashing into the face of fantastic pleasure. We'll be watching bands. They will be good. Some of them.

Not only will we be watching bands, we'll be playing host to some, too! On Thursday we have Gallows and Robert Gomez and more at Latitude 30, from 3pm 'til 6pm; then, on Saturday, we're at the Speakeasy from 11pm 'til 2am for an end-of-SXSW party featuring My Latest Novel and more. For further information click to BritishMusic.biz.

'Til our next update, seeeeees.
