Audioslave officially split

But, didn't they ages ago? As good as? Apparently not.
Today, confirmation has circulated that Chris Cornell - you know his name, right? - has officially left Audioslave. The remaining members have already expressed their intention to reform their old band Rage Against The Machine anyway - see this.
Says Cornell:
“I wish the other three members nothing but the best in all of their future endeavours.”
Cornell used to sing in the band Soundgarden. I have some of their albums. I have no Audioslave records.

Audioslave...
weren't that bad. But no way near as good as Rage Against the Machine. It looks like their time has come... (they were never expecting their own song titles to be used against them like that! One in the eye for Cornell!)

on the telly today, what a fucked up video. Soundgarden were a great band though.
About time
Their first album was great but everything since has been pretty dire. Battle of LA was, in my opinion, as good if not better than the self-titled Rage album, so maybe they can do some even better stuff now they've had a break from it.

...for cornell's new solo album, should be out in the next couple of months. If it's a tenth as good as Euphoria Morning I'll be a happy man. Audioslave were pointless. Glad to see the back of them.

all we need now is an automatic refund for any of their cds purchased by the public + damages for disappointment, confusion and self-harm from prolonged exposure to bland AOR and we can forget the whole thing ever happened
