New rave dead? Klaxons want to go R&B
TheBoyDeadly by TheBoyDeadly February 8th, 2007

They may have only just seen their debut album onto the shelves, but Klaxons are already talking up their next release.

"We would very much like to make an R&B record. If we could afford it," the band's James Righton told MTV.

The band also revealed that they've set their sights on working with hip-hop giants Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.

Speaking before the band signed a US deal with Rinse/DGC, Jamie Reynolds revealed that: "The most interesting thing for us would be to work with Dr. Dre or Snoop Dogg."

"But if we did do that [record] deal we would probably jeopardise our future working with Dr. Dre."

Keeping their eyes set firmly West, the band have announced a tour of the states set to commence this Spring. So, for our cross-Atlantic readers, here are the dates:

April
8 Toronto Lee's Palace
10 New York Bowery Ballroom
11 Boston Great Scott
13 Brooklyn Studio B
14 Philadelphia Transit
16 Chicago Schuba's Tavern
17 Minneapolis 7th Street Entry
19 Denver Larimer Lounge
22 Vancouver Richard's On Richard's Cabaret
23 Seattle Crocodile Cafe
24 Portland Dante's
26 San Francisco Popscene
29 Coachella Festival
