Popular with t'kids electro-emo sorts I Was A Cub Scout have sealed a long term record deal with Abeano Records, part of the XL hegemony.
Their next single, 'I Hate Nightclubs', is out on March 12, with another single following in June and an LP due for release in September.
For Londoners, the band have announced a show at The Water Rats on Valentine's Day with MeWithoutYou. That's February 14 for you loveless losers.
A statement from the band's Todd, regarding the signing, reads:
"Yesterday we signed to XL Recordings. Expect a few records and a banjo and a village choir with the church!
"We are very exited about what could happen this year, and we are planning big things for two tiny boys.
"Hopefully we can somehow overpower the over-populated guitar music thing... you know, ruby ruby, same jeans, all that utter shite.
"With a bit of woosh and beep, maybe I'll get a statue in my village!"
