April sh*t-showers: Linkin Park return
- Artists:
- Linkin Park »
Mighty nu-metal rap-rockers with baggy pants Linkin Park are to return to airwaves and record stores worldwide this Spring.
The popular sextet - seen once by these eyes being rubbish while supporting Deftones - will release the follow-up to 2003's Meteora LP on April 30. At the time of writing this, the album has no title. It was produced by well-respected beardie Rick Rubin.
A single, again without a title to our knowledge, is to be released in March.
Linkin Park are confirmed for this year's Download Festival, where they'll play alongside the likes of Iron Maiden and My Chemical Romance in June.

.
i was at that deftones gig at london shithole arena.
taproot were good at the time tho
.
I went to that gig at the arena. I remember people moshing to the limp bizkit songs that were being played before any of the bands came on..what horrible memories. Deftones were good though.
I saw that also...
...worst Deftones gig i've seen, they seemingly had no focus.
cant wait
i legit love linkin park, dope band. fuck da h8rz
Its a Guilty Pleasure
Sooo many people had it and loved it at the time.
Years later no one will admit to owning it.
I owned it, it was the firs album i played loud when i got a new stereo and speakers in my vauxhall nova! Good times
i actually agree
Anyone who disagrees, listen to the start of "forgotten" off hybrid theory. Thats fucking heavy.
me too
don't see it as a guilty pleasure because i don't like it now, just see it as me being young (15?) and stupid
Their first album is still good.
Not that I listen to it anymore, but that doesn't change the fact that there a lot of well written songs on it.
yeah,
i agree with that. I really loved it when I was 14.
I am...
...unmoved by this news.
That might be the worst set of headliners Download has ever had though. Mind you, didn't Feeder play once.
My mum loves Linkin Park
Says it all really.
no
h/armless by Knut is fucking heavy; the volcano the Old Man Gloom is fucking heavy; sunset motel by Nostromo is fucking heavy.
Just thought i'd clarify that for you.
Well no
what does it say?
oooooh
how exciting, a repeat of the argument linkin park are they shit/cool?? YAY
I have a hoodie of theirs somewhere.
Stashed away at the back of a cupboard. Admittedly, I had quite an embarassing amount of fun watching them headline Reading a few years back.
just listened to it on youtube
sounds like limp bizkit's "break stuff" and about a million other nu-metal songs of the time. not heavy, more like something to soundtrack a vans commercial
Same.
They're not half bad at all.
I too...
...was at that Arena gig! Taproot sound was rubbish!
all i remember from that album was
the chorus that went
"in the memory you'll find me, eyes burning up". that fifteen seconds was pretty good
taproot were way too quiet
i have to admit to enjoying the linky parky set, because i liked their first album, at the time, not listened to it in ages, probably shit now, shitter.
Rubbish.
Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE music.
To date, I've given away four records: All three Linkin Park records, and Weezer's Make Believe.
To think I spent money on all four...
