The next album from Modest Mouse, We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank is set to be released on March 20th.
The follow-up to the brilliant Good News For People Who Love Bad News, as everyone knows by now, features the imitable Johnny Marr. After completing a whistlestop tour of the US, the band will be embarking on a world tour.
If you're eager to hear a snip, the first single 'Dashboard' has already been released to Canadian radio. I expect you can find this somewhere online, but internet radio and I don't have any rapport. Ho and hum.
The tracklist as is follows:
'March into the Sea'
'Dashboard'
'Fire It Up'
'Florida'
'Parting of the Sensory'
'Missed the Boat'
'We've Got Everything'
'Fly Trapped in a Jar'
'Education'
'Little Motel'
'Steam Engenius'
'Spitting Venom'
'People as Places as People'
'Invisible'

In particular, I am awaiting
Their Pelican cover with baited breath.
Dashboard is alright
But I'm hoping for better.
yeah, that's what I think.
Their usual standard is so much better than "alright" though.
Hahahahaha
if that actually is a Pelican cover I think it might be the best thing ever.
Somehow I doubt it actually is...
Johnny Marr
is a god. His very presence should make this good.
It's on their myspace
Johnny Marr's guitar playing is a bit subdued isn't it? He used to be much more flamboyant with it.
