Bjork talk: Timbaland and more help with new album
Björk has been working with a host of familiar names on her new album.
Though the record is currently bereft of both a name and a precise release date - estimations say it will see the light of day in late Spring - big names have already been roped in to contribute.
Timbaland has worked on a couple of tracks, as has Antony Hegarty of Antony and the Johnsons. Intriguingly, the Icelandic songstress has also collaborated with Brian Chippendale and Mark Bell of Lightning Bolt.
Chris Corsano, Konono nr.1 and Toumani Diabate, one of the world's most prominent kora players, will all also feature.
"More work is being done in the next few weeks on the new record," read a statement on Björk's website.
Sounds good though, dunnit?

this looks soooo good...
hopefully she'll tour around the time of release.....with konono no.1 and lightning bolt supporting... maybe ?
i think it'll be released
after the eta because she's such a perfectionist.. leaks about bjork albums always come way before release date..
Regardless, she's doing an interesting record with more collaborations than normal... go Bjork, way to say "my ego isn't THAT big"
Tour would be delicious...
I got her 7 album + dvd box set for xmas... its beautiful...
If
an album that includes Bjork, Lightning Bolt, Timbaland, Konono No. 1, Antony Hegarty and "the world's most prominent kora player" is anything less than spectacular, i will be as surprised as i will be disapointed (i.e. very).
*disappointed
but you knew that.
bjork vs lightning bolt?
exceeeellent.
I don't mean to be
an arse, but I know nothing about Timbaland, apart from everyone seems to love him.
Timbaland?!
I wish that guy would fuck off! Pardon my french.
um
her last two records both had loads of collaborators?
in fact most of her records have a load of them...
This sounds amazing
My two favorite drummers Chris Corsano and Brian Chippendale, plus one of my favorite bands Konono number .1.
Whos is Mark Bell of Lightning Bolt? As far as I knew it is the two Brians.
yeah, who the fuck is Mark Bell?
surely you mean Brian Chippendale and Brian Gibson
Mark Bell is the bloke from LFO
A previous collaborator with Ms Gudmundsdottir if memory serves...
chris corsano!
timbaland! bjork! amazing.
oh my god
this looks like it's going to be absolutely amazing. I'M ALREADY EXCITED! I love Bjork so much <3
look at the size of him
this reminds me of damon albarn's latest project, but good...
lightning bolt own that guy out of the clash and that guy out of the verve.
konono no1 eat that drummer out of fela kuti's band.
timbaland eats dangermouse. look at the size of him.
me thinks its that matthew barneys idea
to get chris corsano and brian chippendale involved
this
album is going to be a corker, have recently beeen listening to her album with Rahzel...foooked up shizz!!
When you say collaborators
you mean ppl like nellee hooper.. so really they're more producers than collaborators... unless yr thinking of medulla when its rhazel and patton..
She should work with Patton again
They go together like peas. Anyone not heard the fantomix remix of 'Where is the line?' needs to right now.
And Patton should work with Yann Tiersen
Ahem
Thats 'Mike' Patton, and Fanto'mas' not 'mix'. Oops
