I actually have to go to that. Isis and Slint, and Modest Mouse and Pelican.
er...
Slint, ISIS, Dirty 3 and Pelican
sounds like a fabtasy line-up to me.
yes they did
they made out that their '05 reunion shows were one off specials.
I feel cheated now!
I think i might cry
anyone want to give me free money? please?
:O
^*makes that face*
has anyone..
got more info on this like when exactly it starts and finishes. The website is utter crud.
Some people mention a 4 day pass yet the festival runs for 3 days.
Interested in this but need more info!
the website is
perfectly straight forward! The dates are the 31st, 1st and 2nd I believe and when you buy a three day ticket they usually have an aftershow gig/clubnight that you get access to on the Sunday.
christ
this needs to be done.
what kind of
other bands normally play this??
this stage looks the shit but its an atp stage...is the rest of it a bit like reading or is this something really special?
ok
i just noticed the tag on at the end of the article. apologies
ok
what about camping/accomodation?
The website is woeful
Thank god
I already have my ticket :)
Acomodation/Lineup
It's an urban festival, so you have to find your own accomodation in Barcelona.
This was the line up last year:

.
thanks Aquisgran
im interested in this
may even sack off atp for it. when you say its an urban festival does that mean its at different venues all over the city or is there some kind of site within the city?? the website isnt that clear.
also, do you stay in youth hostels and hotels normally then?
and another thing
is it really only about £60????!!!!
thats what i converted it as...obviously you need to add accomodation and flights but that sounds alright!
Site/Hotels/Prices..
The festival is in a site especially designed for big events (Primavera Sound attendance is usually around 15000 per day). Within the site there are several stages of different sizes and one indoor auditorium that fits 3000 people seated.
Next to the site there are plenty of hotels (though quite pricey) and apartments to share. Youth hostel are mostly located in Barcelona centre but conections are really good and apparently the tube will be running all saturday night.
As for the price, it was even cheaper last week, before the first bunch of bands were announced.
The festival website has a forum where you can leave your doubts in english:

Yep
I got my ticket for £52
The tube does run all night on the Saturday, but the festival starts late afternoon and goes on till dawn so you'll probably be getting the tube in the morning anyway.
Comets on Fire
